To understand skiing properly you must first understand how the equipment you are using works. It is very important to understand how skis work to be able to understand manoeuvres properly. The rest of the equipment is not so vital for technique, but is always good to know about.

For a well kitted out skier, almost everything they have with them will be functional. In this section there is information on almost all the equipment a skier needs.
